NIPT testi, diğer genetik testlere göre daha yüksek bir doğruluk payına sahiptir. NIPT testi, Down sendromu, Trizomi 18, Trizomi 13 gibi kromozomal anormallikleri tespit etmede yüksek bir hassasiyete sahiptir. Ancak NIPT test sonucunda yüksek riskli bir durum belirlenirse, daha kesin sonuçlar almak amacıyla invaziv testlere yönlendirme yapılabilir.
